No, the private citizen is not allowed to be armed in London. This is a very foolish law which has resulted in an increase of crimes against the private citizen.

It is a fact proven by a number of studies, that, If private gun ownership increases then crime goes down. Having a gun doesn't increase the odds that you will be shot or even harmed. Many studies prove this point.

It's illegal to carry a gun here so Only if you want to either get shot yourself or locked up for murder if you use it! If someone sees it and reports you as carrying the Police will arrest you or you'd get shot as a terrorist if you were careless. I'd be the last to mourn your passing! We've got far too many illegal guns and those who use violence die by violence! Ignorance of the law is no defence here in Britain and neither should it be!
I for one would like to see a return to the days when the most vicious looking weapon a Policeman had or needed was his dog! At least I wouldn't have to worry about getting caught in the cross fire during a chase! A gun doesn't distinguish between innocent and guilty so When gang members start a shoot out or some idiot decides to rampage around a school and then they have to call in the armed officers!! It's more likely some poor innocent is going to die! I'm glad I'm getting old, at least I stand a chance of being gone before this Country becomes the next State in the Union! Sorry America but there are some things in your Culture we can well do without! The right to bear arms is one of them! I'm not sure I forgive you for MacDonalds yet either

first concern to declare is that it somewhat is definitely universal that anybody is plenty extra probable to worry crime than to somewhat be a sufferer. And whilst there are some properly publicised extremes, maximum folk heavily isn't attacked particularly in the event that they shop on with properly lit and properly used public components. yet another elementary false impression is that girls are probable to be attacked. in actuality youthful men are via far the main probable team to be the sufferer of highway crime. So the prospect is you will by no skill could desire to safeguard your self. besides, interior the united kingdom it somewhat is against the regulation to hold something with the *objective* of employing it as a weapon. EG, somebody else has pronounced oven cleanser. In my journey women do no longer oftentimes carry oven cleanser of their luggage. So in case you ever used it you will get some awkward questions approximately why you had it. Many different products, at the same time with knives, CS spray, etc are immediately banned, in spite of if or no longer you employ them or perhaps intend to apply them as weapons. in case you're ever attacked you're entitled to apply sensible rigidity in self defence. this could comprise employing products that come handy as weapons. for sure what's sensible relies upon on the individial situations. in spite of if it could in all possibility be sensible for a women attacked interior the line via a guy to snatch a pair of nail scissors from her bag and objective some blows on the face. yet as quickly as this has allowed a raffle to flee, any extra attack is previous sensible. it somewhat is how most of the "sufferer gets executed, attacker is permit off" memories originate.

Not legally. No handguns at all. You may be able to get a shotgun license but not for self-protection.
