I am staying on the pier for the weekend and I want to catch a Raiders game. I don't have a car and was thinking about taking the bart. I am not familiar with the area and want to know if this is the best way to get to the game. If so, how long would it take to get there, and how close to the stadium does it drop you off? And which station would be the closest to take? Any info would be very helpful.

You want to take BART to the Colliseum Station. You can walk directly over to McAfee Colliseum - many people do this, so it is safe. And yes, this is a good way to get to the game. Driving is a pain because the McAfee parking lots are a total pain to get out of when the game is over.

On Sundays, trains leave about every 20 minutes, and from downtown SF (Powell St., for example) to the Col. Station takes about 20 minutes. Then you have about a 15 minute walk - I would allow an hour.

For more specific information on schedules, etc. see the BART website (www.BART.gov). Unfortunately the local maps don't show the walkover for some dopey reason, but it is there - I have walked it (to go to As games).

Have fun!

BART is the only way to go to the raiders game. Drops you off, just across the street from the coliseum. Walk over the sky walk and your there.

Don't worry about getting lost, just follow the huge mob of people wearing silver and black!

I recommend getting beer before you go. Put it in your back pack. You can bring it on BART, but can't drink until you get to the coliseum. Plan it so you show up at about 10:30 am. Because the game should start at about 1:00pm.

Pop your beer and walk around the parking lot. Lots of cool stuff to see. I recommend the South parking lot. ( On the left after you get off bart. ) People are great. Usually you'll get some good bar b que, and meet awesome raider fans.

When you hear the hells bells, coming from the stadium, it's time to chug your beer and start heading for your seat.

GO RAIDERS!!!

it drops you off right at the stadium. Take the Coliseum stop, cross over the walk bridge and you are there. BART is the best way to get to any games happening there for the Raiders, A's and Warriors. time of travel depends on where you are coming from. From Walnut Creek its about 30 - 40min.

have fun.

first of all Amtrak would not flow into San Francisco. It is going to Oakland, so which you will desire to get off on the Richmond Station that's the two Amtrak and BART. Take the BART to San Francisco and then take the M-Oceanview highway vehicle/underground from industry St. all the thank you to nineteenth Ave and Holloway that's called Park Merced the place San Francisco state is. that's surely a highway vehicle line that's partly underground that is going to S.F. state. The BART commuter practice would not flow out to the place S.F. state is located. I dont be attentive to any incorrect thank you to do it and not using a vehicle yet maybe somebody else has an concept.

Definitely take Bart to the Raider's game. it's about 25 minutes and $4.50 one way and the station is right across from the coliseum.
Go Raiders!

There is a stop fairly close to the stadium, but the station is very high off the ground and the stairway is a real b**ch! I would recommend that you drive there since it's right off the interstate and will only take about 20 minutes to get there (not to mention you'll have more cash to spend on food and souvenirs).
