I had sex with my boyfriend about 2 weeks ago. My period is 5 or 6 days late, although I'm not always completely regular. I smoke marijuana as well as my boyfriend. I took a pregnancy test and it came out positive. I am on bactrim and I have low thyroid levels. I'm going to go to a clinic if I don't get my period in a week, do you think it's highly likely that I'm pregnant? I've also been having cramps. Thank you

Not sure if your pregnant. But I highly suggest you stop smoking pot and break up with your boyfriend.

It's highly likely that you are pregnant. A urine test for pregnancy isn't affected by your thyroid levels. Along with not smoking pot, you shouldn't be taking Bactrim if you are pregnant. So I would strongly recommend that you go to the clinic today and find out for sure.
When I was pregnant I had the normal PMS symptoms so don't let the cramps fool you into thinking your period is coming.

Well, if you think you are pregnant, I would stop smoking the marijuana because it can affect the baby. If the pregnancy test came out positive, you are more than likely pregnant. Bactrim is for Urinary Tract Infections right? Because they put me on that right before I found out I was pregnant & then since I was pregnant, they switched me to a different medication because it wasn't really safe for pregnancy.

Home pregnancy tests are NOT 100% accurate. I'm glad you have a doctors appointment, keep it! Please for your health and possibly a baby's health please stop smoking marijuana, that could also give you a false reading. And yes, your thyroid level being low (and high) can also give you a false reading.

you are most likely pregnant. false positives on a home pregnancy test are very rare. goodluck

hmmm i would say you probably are, you should decided with your boyfriend right now, that if you are prego what to do, keep it? dont keep it? will he be there for you? you know, get some stability and a plan, just in case things get crazy
