No...Manning is the best QB...people talk about how Brady never had a talented receiving corps before this year but he has had a solid D to help bail him out of tight situations. D wins championships not to mention Vinateri field goals. Manning had to play with an inconsistent D for most of his career which meant that to win the Colts had to outscore their opponents b/c they couldn't rely on the D. This is the first year the Colts have had a solid D in a long time, and not to mention the only receiver that has been with Manning his entire career has been Marvin Harrison and he has still been successful throwing to other WR's he had 6 starters out of last Sundays game against the Bucs no Marvin Harrison and he still led the Colts to a 33-14 victory. Also don't forget that Manning is the only QB in NFL history to lead his team to a comeback victory while down 21 pts with 4 minutes to play to lead his team to an OT victory 38-35; that's what the best QB in football allows you to be able to do...no lead is safe with Manning on the field. I don't dislike Brady, but Brady has played on a more balanced teams than Manning, but Manning is the type of QB that would be successful no matter what team he played for b/c he makes the players around him better.

Andrew: Nice of you to forget that Brady was one dropped pass from beating the Colts in that game. Reche Caldwell dropped 2 passes that game, one that should have been a TD, and one that was on a key killing drive. With NO receiver corps last year, Brady guided them to a 21-3 lead at the half. His receivers then showed their true colors and started failing on him. Take the blinders off and look at the whole game, not just what you wanted to see.

Brady and the Pats have been playing really easy teams, of course his numbers are that high.

Peyton Manning has lower status because he has been playing better teams (with better D).

Both QB's are the best, just Brady has better status.

Tom Brady by far has the best stats and plays for the best team. He has all day to throw and has an amazing receivng core.

Peyton Manning is better. His stats are not as impressive, but overall he is better. He may retire as the best ever. Brett Favre is better. His stats for this year are not better than Brady's, but his teammates are much less talented than brady's and he has succeeded despite having no run support.
