look, again...we USED to be virtuous. over the past 60 years or so we have become hyper-individualistic and selfish, crude, obnoxious, polluting, insulting, party animal, fat, aggressive, arrogant bullies.....we get the government we deserve....it reflects who we really are as a group if not individuals. We act like we don't have enough, so we demand more more more...bigger houses, bigger gas guzzling cars, more games, more crap from Chinas, and we have come to care nothing about community as our grandparents and great grandparents did....Nero is playing his fiddle...can you hear him?

America has become an ""EVIL EMPIRE"" with no moral values what so ever.
Jam-packed with morons( some as you see here!) in whom, It'll take the eternity to understand
the facts also how America's been screwing the weak ones for its needs, plunder their land and countries out off their natural sources and call it ""FREEDOM""!! or crappy titles like that!!

All they ever say is, world is ought to get America, Islam this, Islam that but never bother to mention, why or how these problems had created!!

DO you see one of these morons EVER mentions any thing about Americas wrong doing?!! I havn't....

What they are, full of racism and hatred for other races and nations along with accept whatever their witless leader says!!

***Reading some of these laughable responses, prove your point!
Pure idiotic, egotistical individuals!!

No wonder America is in such a mess!!

All governments, all cultures are liquid, in that nothing is fixed, any more than fashion is fixed. Currently, we are at a rather low stage in our democracy, but much of it is in direct response to events from 9/11.

Eventually, we will right ourselves, I believe; I think this process will begin after our current president is out of office, however.

Simple. It's called.......

APATHY. The US electorate is 1/3 apathetic, 1/3 stupid and 1/3 intelligent. Since the apathetic plus the stupid outnumber the intelligent, you get what we have (and deserve).

(This is a fact...just read some of the YA questions - although the ration of stupid may actually be higher than 1/3....)

We have no control over the government.
Our Fore Fathers would vomit if they could see what has happened to their country.
The government controls us...this is not how America was designed to operate.
We the people are supposed to run the government, not giant corporations.
Please give a source for the 1.8 million deaths.

Because we have no power, the people who are in position to do something are corrupt. And they allow this to continue.

Maybe it's because we spend all our energy in anonymous public forums trying to prove how smart we are instead of going out and getting our hands dirty...

How do you think we are virtuous people, we are all part of this evil empire and as long as we don't stand up, we are just as guilty. America is an evil and vile nation, that will be wiped from the face of the earth for it's iniquities.
