Uniform must be this seasons and up to date. we receive limited items at 75% off but thats still around £30+ for one piece. after our limit of 75% off runs out (6 pieces @75% off for full-time) we then get a limited amount of 50% off.
surely if we HAVE TO wear a uniform they should supply it?
is there an employees right for this?
Many Thanks!!

Figure out a way to just wear the clothes off the racks(hide the tags) while you're there, like borrow them, then hang them back up at the end of the day and change back into your clothes. Then you won't have to worry with laundry either.

I don't know about where you're from, but in NY they can't. If they insist you wear a uniform (which is what that would be considered) they must supply it at their own expense. You need to contact your dept of labor.

I think it is the same as one wearing uniforms. They have to pay for the uniforms too. i would say get another job as they do have the right if you were hired under this provision.

I don't know the laws in the UK, but it would seem to me they should supply it, or at best require a dress code (but not requiring their clothes). Beyond that is just ridiculous.

Employers can insist on a dress code and that may include their products. You may have signed something on your job application to that effect. (Always read the fine print) The good news is that it is all tax deductable.
