I asked two questions. Every answer has thumbs down. None of them were bad answers. What is going on? Gay haters? I shouldn't be shocked, but that doesn't change that I'm disgusted.

So this is an ongoing problem here? Is it just in the gay section, or is it site wide?

I won't allow it to bother me. It just makes me question a few things about the people who do it. How sad must they be to take the time to do this? Why even read these questions? If they stopped and thought about it, wouldn't they realize what it says about the type of life they have, that they get pleasure from giving anonymous thumbs down. I'm really glad my life doesn't suck like that.

Let me tell the gay haters this...
I'm straight. I'm very comfortable with myself. I feel that the people who gay bash aren't. What's going on inside your head that makes you feel threatened by a gay person? I would suggest staying off my questions. All you're going to do is make me think you are so far in the closet with self hate that you must bully innocent people. Spreading hate behind a computer screen is really big of you. It tells me what a twit you really are. Basically you prove that you are gay and a wimp. This isn't a good thing. The gay people I know wouldn't want you are their team. I guess you are stuck being miserable.

Don't worry, every time I come across a trend like this, I start handing out thumbs ups like candy.

Dear Questioner,
I'm gay, and my gaydar's going off on you. If you're not gay, then sit down. If you're going to separate us into "sides" as you have done in one of your edits, then make sure you count me out.
I can fight for myself, and I think all you other gay people need to do the same. The last thing we need to do is ****** some more, because every time we bit.ch, we get laughed at, because we're acting like bit.ches.
Demand respect, without being a douschebag, and you'll get it, I promise.

The thumbs up/down is more used for people who reflect your own values, right or wrong.

It should be for well thought-out answers, but when it comes to emotional, value laden topics, it rarely is.

It's annoying yes, but YA is really about opinions, not academically correct answers. Otherwise the answers would be correctly referenced and peer reviewed.

I agree with Clones and I believe that the same person who thumbs her down thumbs me down also.

It happens allot here and in the religious section. Religion and Homosexuality are very debated subjects and when people don't like you opinion they are quick to give you thumbs down. Don't let it bother you it happens allot to me too. : )

It happens a lot --
when they notice that their answers get reported and thrown off of here, they just start giving everyone thumbs down.

I imagine they think they are making some kind of "statement" but, for real, what do they think they are trying to prove?

It's a sad world we live in. Anti-gay people have one major thing in common with Hitler: they think everyone should be just like them. That isn't homophobia. That's mental illness.

I don't care how folks respond to an answer one way or another.

I don't care if they are gay, straight or anything else.

i have the same problem if i answer a question. I, personally do not like gays. That means my answers are toward a straight orientation. I ALWAYS get thumbs down and sometimes my answers removed. Straight haters?

There are these random thumbs-down gremlins that roam this site bestowing ill will amongst us. Learn to ignore it. It's all we can do, just ignore them. They're mad cuz we're so fun and they're not.
