How many grams are in a penny? PLEASE ANSWER!!!?

and what is the best object that is small and cheap and easy to find like in walmart?i know this is a lot to ask... but something that also equals 179 grams? its for a project...

Hello,

The mass of a penny changed in 1982. Before that it was 3.1 grams and after that it was 2.5 grams.
You should be able to get some jewelry that weighs 179 grams.
