I am a freshman in college. I am 18 years old. I attend a community in the Sacramento area. Can someone please give me an outline of what i need to do to become a Pharmacist. What courses do i need to take now and next year. Am I in Pre-Pharm right now? What is Pre-Pharm? After how long do i wait before i apply to pharmacy school? Which schools near me have a Pharmacy program? I know of UOP(University of the Pacific in Stockton, CA) and UCSF (University of California San Francisco). Any other ones. What should i do now to help me get accepted in Pharmacy school? I am registering for classes for my Spring 2008 semester, What classes should I take? Please Help.

Pre-pharm is just a term used for undergraduates who want to pursue a pharmacy program.
Since you are in California, you will need a bachelors to be competitive. Most pharmacy schools are biased against community colleges. To even have a chance at my school, you'll need effectively straight As.
UOP does have a shortened program.
Common pre-reqs are biology, chemistry, physics, organic chemistry, anatomy/physiology, microbiology, public speaking, english composition, economics, calculus, statistics, general education, etc.
Here's a list of all the pharmacy programs http://www.acpe-accredit.org/students/programs.asp
You'll need to take the PCAT. The sections are Chemistry (half organic/half general), Biology (a lot of physiology), Quanitative Reasoning (half calculus), reading comprehension, verbal ability and writing.
