Well, are you sexually active? And do your parents know? Just relax and calm down. Go in first thing tomorrow and make sure to tell your mom/ female guardian.

Hope I helped!!!

It could be an ASCUS result an ASCUS pap smear result is considered to be mildly abnormal. This is the most common type of abnormal Pap smear. ASCUS stands for Atypical Cells of Undetermined Significance, and basically means there were mild cellular changes and the the cause in unknown.
It could be just inflamattion of the cervix or something like HPV. This is how HPV is found they do a pap than if it comes back abnormal they will want to do a HPV test. Do some research into ASCUS. I will give you some links. But Don't worry I went through the same thing if you need advice e-mail me.

let me guess, what they found was "abnormal cells", right?
honey, if it was important or even a little urgent, they would not have written you a letter for pete's sake, they would have called you. now get a grip on yourself, this isn't anything that hasn't happened to millions of women. Often we produce abnormal cells, it is the nature of being human to do so. You get the letter so you know to get another pap in six months rather than waiting a year, AND THAT IS ALL IT MEANS. No big deal.

You could have HPV and an abnormal PAP without actually having CANCER, it could be precancerous, or just abnormal.

They will most likely need to perform more tests to find out exactly what is going on.

it truly is an fairly unprofessional way of letting you already know medical advice. i'm sorry you're (rightfully) stressing out. Take a deep breathe and phone your healthcare professional again contained in the morning. you could't rigidity immediately about "what is going to be incorrect". they could tell a lot of issues on the ultrasound, yet you could't speculate any of it until eventually you listen out of your healthcare professional. imagine effective techniques. it ought to easily be that your healthcare professional needed yet another ultrasound and this will be a thanks to get it coated by coverage. from time to time they in simple terms go with a second opinion. some docs are more suitable experienced at examining ultrasounds than others. i ought to for my area fairly have someone who has more suitable journey. i will imagine effective techniques for you. dangle in there. attempt no longer to rigidity about the "unknown"...wait and spot what's fairly happening.

Sometimes by coincidence it can show that an infection is going on. I've had that happen to me several times. The first time it happened to me I got very scared too so I can empathize. Please feel free to e-mail or IM me off site any time.
