Can anyone help me graph this and in a way explain to me how it is the equation my teacher gave me is:
/x/ + /y/ = 1 ; // is the absolute value. My teacher does not give me any numbers to plug in for x or y but she does suggest something about four, I believe it has to do with the plus and minus but I am not entirely sure. Please help thanks

Hello,

Solve for |y| = 1 - |x| Now if x < -1 we have |y| <0 and this cannot happen so x >= -1 also if x >1 we have |y| < 0 which cannot happen so -1<=x<=1 now putting these into |y| = 1 - |x| using x = -1 |y| = 0 so y = 0 and letting x = 1 gives us |y| = 0 Now at x = = we have y = 1. This graph is a line going from (-1,0) to (0,1) to (1,0)

Hope This Helps!!
