I am doing homework now and I need serious help!!! The first problem is 40 cm to 100 cm. It says find each percent of change and describe the percent of change as an increase or decrease. Round to the nearest whole number. I couldn't see the board when the teacher was explaining because my vision sucks. Other problems are $100 to $140. Please help, and thank you for reading this.

40cm-100cm=150% increase
$100-$140=40% increase

pretty sure that the first one is 250% increase
the second one 140% increase.
you just divide the second number by the first
100/40=2 and a half and if you change that into a percentage (2.5x100) you get 250%
