They are meaning it in a couple different ways. It depends. But it can either mean I am cool, Example... Do you want go to the movies tonight.. Naw man I'm straight, or it can mean that they are not gay, or that they are sober. It has a few different meanings, but now I have a question. Why did you put this question under celebrities??????

They're not interested in having a romantic relationship with someone of the same sex. Self-proclaimed straight girls are noted to have fantasies involving other women so sometimes the definition of heterosexual can be gray in regards to some people. It can be cultural definition too. In some cultures, like Indian for example, on certain religious holidays it is perfectly acceptable for a married straight man to have sex with another man dressed as a sacred goddess and not have the homosexuality stigma associated with him. While some people will say that you are either gay or straight -- the subject can become quickly complicated.

depends on how it's you used. If the person was offered something like a soda and you respond "nah, I'm straight" Means you're good...then there's the other end where if you not a homosexual you're straight

It means either:
1) They're attracted to the opposite sex (not gay)
2) Not taking drugs or alcohol
3) Good (ex: "How's it going?" ... "I'm straight." - slang

It could mean that they are not high or drunk, or that they are not gay or lesbian. It could also mean that they are telling the truth about something.
