I love the books, especially since they've literally been a part of half of my life. I think that they are great pieces of fiction, from both a literary standpoint and because they are getting kids, especially boys, to read.

I know that some Christians (I'm one too) bash the books and say that they make kids become wiccans, but I don't agree with that at all. The people who bash Harry Potter are the same ones that one the Little House books to be banned because of the way Native Americans are represented (on a side note, the representation of Native Americans is accurate because that's how the people in the stories really felt).

I was sad and happy when the 7th books came out because there won't be anymore books (and yes I know about the encyclopedia) and because of all the hype about it. Now all I have to look foreward to is the movies and I don't know how I'll feel once the movies are done.

Harry Potter, in my opinion, is pretty great. It's written as such to keep the reader hooked, which is needed for any book series.
I'm insterested to see if J.K. Rowling, the auther of the series, is capable of writing for an older demographic and how different that style will be from style of Harry Potter.

If you're young, you may want to go back to Harry Potter at a later date.
I didn't like the Hobbit the first time I tried to read it, afterall.

on account that Harry develop into no longer pronounced in a suitable way, he goofed off with Ron particularly some the time fairly of spending time with Hermione at Hogwarts. Ginny might have slipped Harry a love potion, in the different case Harry does not be kissing her without questioning while she threw her palms around him.

I haven't read any of the Harry Potter books and I never intend to. The fantasy genre of literature just doesn't interest me all that much as a reader.

I love them! All but the last one I've read or listened to the audiobook at least a dozen times (the first one probably like 20 since it's so quick to read).

I can't wait to start reading them to my kids .my son is almost 4 so i'm thinking I'll buy him his own set for his birthday. he already loves the movies and can ask for them by title or scene. my baby is a newborn so she's going to have wait. :)
