The definition of romantic love identifies three main features:

1. Feelings of longing for the other, including the desire to be intimate with them both sexually and psychologically, and feelings of loss and loneliness during separations. For example, Napoleon wrote to his empress Josephine: 'I have not spent a day without loving you; I have not spent a night without embracing you... ',

2.The experience of the beloved as special, idealized, necessary for one's happiness...,

3. The preoccupation with and overevaluation of the loved one."

Being romantic is one of the nicest ways of expressing and enjoying your feelings for another. Whether it be presenting your lover with flowers even when it isn't a birthday, preparing a candlelight dinner with romantic music, sharing a bath dressed with rose petals, surrounded by candles whilst drinking champagne or giving your beloved a sensuous massage. A person who is devoid of romance is lacking one of the nicest qualities a human can possess and one that separates us from animals.

Yes to all the above, but I'm more concerned with what the Irish say about those bedbugs! Especially when it comes to that "intimate" part.

yes i believe it vary`s! i`m single unfortunately my marriage failed, but i think we all dream of how we want the fairy tale but say we settled? when we first meet someone we imagine all these things then we stay with them a while,AND GET TO KNOW THEM! and get disappointed?(not all)
I do think most would love to have that kind of desire, love and compassion towards some one and know 100% it was returnd by the other

Of course we do; no two Humans feel, express or love in the same way - if we did then it would be boring. Variety is the Spice of Life!

Of course...some are blessed to feel "romantic love" more than others.

The same people are blessed with different things....

ability to write books, and novels that interest others,
ability to write songs and music that has mass appeal,
ability to cook, effortlessly, from instincts,

actually I'm like that. my boyfriend tells me I'm anti-affectionate and the true is that i don't feel the same way that he does for me. he loves to cuddle and touch and keep me close but i push him away and then eventually later come back to cuddle with him when he doesn't want to cuddle with me...so yea i think that people love differently.
