Because of his gimmick & the way he presented his gimmick to the audience (very well) he received a lot of boos from people at the end of his career.
Im my opinion, he was one of the best heels ever. Technically he was a great wrestler. His matches were actually intresting. He used his strengths very well.
His role was to make people boo him for mistreating their baby face heroes.
**He also had a great charisma. I loved his entrance at wrestlemania 21. He had a great presence.
*****Bottomline - JBL is one of my favorites ever. He wasn't the wrestling God at all but he was very good.
*****It hurts when kids who know nothing about wrestling say that JBL = Just a Big Loser.
He wasn't a loser but a great wrestler who deserves a lot of respect for giving us great matches.

I loved JBL, but as bradshaw i liked him even more. I was always a huge fan of the acolytes protection agency, and to this day bradshaw and farooq remain 2 of my favorite all time wrestlers. JBL had skill, charisma and could get an entire stadium of fans to flip out on him. he was awesome in every gimmick he has had, and i agree it pisses me off so much when dumb kids say that he sucks.

Look, my opinion is clear for him..
He didn't,he isn't and he probably will never be in my best 10 wrestlers of all time..
However, i like so much to him the way he canplay a gimmick,that i respect and admire him a lot!
He can do whatever you want.He is the perfect employer for a boss like Vince McMahon and he is talented in the ring!
His finisher isn't that much good(clothesline from hell) but he can play it like it is the best ever
He is an awesome heel and i like his style with all the arrogance and the 'all the things are going well on me cause i am perfect' style!!
I love him as a commentator either.."You have got to be kidding me"..lol

I agree with him as a wrestler. I do not like him as an anoucer he is very anoying the gimmick has gone south and no one really cares the just boo beacuse when JBL is on the mic their is nothing other to do than sit their or have a little fun by booing or chanting sucks after he says his name

I was more of a Bradshaw fan. He lost me when he became JBL. Now he is JBL the announcer and I love him again. Kinda confusing

JBL was good, but great with the APA. They had a great gimmick...poker games, rooms that had doors with no walls, and only cared when their game and beer were interrupted.
