I mean it may or may not be true. Sure, lots of children and adolescents do experiment with petty crimes. If the statement had said "ALL children and adolescents experiment with petty crimes as a part of growing up" then it would be utterly false. I think a more accurate statement would be to say something like "For many children and adolescents, part of growing up involves getting into mischeif, pushing boundaries, and experimenting with certain illegal activities." The statement isn't using the word ALL, it says many, which can be any number of children and adolescents, so therefore it can be proven to be both true and false. Just a thought.

lol no my parents believed that "expermenting with petty crime" was a good reason to remove any and all items from my room while i was at school so that i would learn what it felt like to have something stolen from me. I didnt get it back for weeks and even then they had donated a bunch of it to goodwill. and all i took was a candy from my friends house in 2nd grade

Disagree, one thing usually leads to another which is worse. Now if they get caught at an early age or see one of their friends get caught then they may make a change and it will not affect their actions as they get older.

No. This indicates a Conduct Disorder. Treatment can prevent this from evolving into something more serious in adulthood.
