If you are wanting to bring the whole family into it...
Tell your husband first. Tell him by getting a yellow onesie (yellow for girl or boy) put it in one of those boxes for clothes, you know, the ones like people use at Christmas? Get some wrapping paper... maybe either something for all purpose/all occasion or even a baby shower type wrap. Wrap up the positive HTP and put it on top of the onesie. Close the box and wrap it all.
Later, when you tell your family and after your first prenatal doctor visit... Throw a little party for your family. Tell everyone to bring food and this and that and announce it to your families together as a couple.

Congratulations mommy to be. That is so exciting! Definitely tell him alone, just the two of you. It will be much more sentimental that way. You two have been ttc for a long time and it finally happened. This is your time to celebrate with each other without the hustle and bustle of everyone else around you. Like you said, get him a teddy bear with something that says Daddy, I'm on my way. Then get a picture frame and write a very sweet note in there from "baby" to daddy. If you frame it he can keep it forever. Say something like, Hi daddy, its me. I can't wait to see you. Mommy has told me so much about you. Then start adding in things that you love about him and add something like, she says she hopes that I have your eyes. I know you're going to be the best daddy in the world. I love you, baby. This would make even the "strongest" man cry. Good luck and congrats again on your bundle of joy. Let us know how it goes!

Congratulations!! Just a thought: Get a 0-3 month old outfit or bib that says something like "Daddy's Little Kid" or just any really cute baby outfit. Wrap it in a box with baby wrapping paper. Give it to him after a special, candle lit dinner for two consisting of foods with baby in the name: baby back ribs, baby corn, baby carrots (I think this was in a movie at some point and was very cute). Pick out some music with baby in it and have it playing in the background. Hopefully your guy gets the hint and is just as happy as you are!

Congratulations!!! That is so exciting!!
I've heard of people making dinner with different foods that have baby in the title, like Baby Back Ribs with Baby Carrots and Baby Peas. So you could just make it and go along with dinner as usual, pointing out the baby items whenever you want, waiting for him to catch on! I think that is such a cute idea!! I am sure he will be so excited no matter what!! Have fun with it!!

OH boy!! Congrats first of all!!
I'm not one that is a fan of the wrapping up the pg test. Sorry :) I think that its going to be hard to contain yourself until you do tell him. But a nice supper with just the two of you is perfect. Maybe wrap up a bib that says worlds greatest daddy on it and give it to him. When he opens it......he will be totally shocked and his face will be priceless!

You could make a baby themed dinner for the family gathering. Then only let him guess on whats going on. Try making baby back ribs, baby carrots, etc... Also you could leave small hints around the house at the same time!

you can wrap the prgnancy test with the lid on of course and let him open it like a present, you can bake/buy him a cake and get happy early fathers day on it and have him wondering why you gave him this, get you a shirt made that says bun in the oven or something like that and wear it one day just to see how long it takes for him to notice..
congrats to you!!
good luck

My husband is an avid OU Sooners fan. If I found out I was pregnant...I would go buy a Sooners onesie and give it to him. Nothing else would have to be said b/c he would know! We are TTC #1 18mos now and of course I steer clear of buying anything baby-related in fear of jinxing myself (crazy huh). Anyway, if there is something that your husband is ga-ga for (sports, hunting, etc) see if you can buy an article of baby clothing and give it to him! Congrats to you!

Wrap up the positive test and give to him. Or make him a shirt/buy one that says daddy on it.

I used music when I found out. I played R.Kelly's-Having A Baby off of his Double Up Album. It was sweet.
