I'm from Brooklyn and I'm a die-hard Yankees fan. I have exepctations for my team; I do believe our lineup is good enough to win the World Series BUT I know our pitching has ALWAYS been suspect.

So WHY, Why do I keep hearing this statement "Yankees management and Yankees FANS only want a championship or they get pissed off?".

I'm not like that. Are other Yankees fans like that?

I know our front office is full of a bunch of morons; Cashman should have been fired years ago and Hank & Hal Steinbrenner might be cut from the same cloth as their father. Don't they realize the pitching staff THEY decided to sign wasn't good enough?

As a New Englander and a Red Sox fan, let me say that I think that New York is fine and the people of New York are fine. We love New York.... but we hate the Yankees...

Oh Yeah Its AF -- will you marry me? I have been POUNDING that drum all summer. I am a Yankee fan in exile because Steinbrenner (and now STEINBRENNERS) have the brains of a salad kit. Pitching has killed the Yankees in the post season ALL THIS CENTURY!!! I hate Steinbrenner. Cashman is a related animal. Pitching. Pitching is, oh, what? 5, 10 % of baseball? And George, after 30 years STILL hasn't figured that out.
Anyway, thank you for saying that. Sorry about the proposal I just got carried away.
Unless the answer is, "Yes"!!!!

i'm not a Yankees fan, yet there is not any question that they like to win each twelve months and that i've got not any issue with the fact they like to spend the money. a minimum of the different communities in baseball that don't prefer to compete could desire to take a lesson from how the Yankees do it. it quite is obtrusive Steinbrenner isn't in the final of wellbeing at present as he's clearly not working the tutor on his own in ny. otherwise, the Yankees season could have ended on October 9, and Torre's (and Cashman's) careers as Yankees could have ended October 10 or 11 on the latest. it could have been decrease and dry. No pennant, no interest. it quite is obtrusive George's sons turn and Flop stored Torre flapping in the wind. could we be having the comparable reaction if Torre's run in NYC ended final week? the fact became into that in the time of 2004 the Yankees blew a three-0 bring about Boston in the ALCS, and then have been given run the 1st around of the playoffs the final 3 seasons. To them a transformation became into mandatory. i think of the Yankees will someway discover the thank you to muddle with the aid of...with a respectable youthful center in Melky Cabrera, Joba Chamberlain, and Chien-Ming Wang (plus in all probability seeking to sign Johann Santana in the offseason). they simply could desire to make beneficial this would not ensue returned.

I love New York City. It is an exciting place to visit. All that said, as a Red Sox fan I hope the Yankees are in a period of extended disarray like the mid 80s to mid 90s. I like Boston's chances to exploit the weakness of the Evil Empire and win a few AL East pennants for starters.

Your team has sold its soul on AROD and no quality pitching look @ the teams that have beaten them including the BOSOX all had quality middle relief and key role players and deff players from there own system not high price Diva's who can not or will not do the little things to win games. Listen you guys are fine and dandy when your winning but you are pretty sore and whinny losers I only wish it the yankees that the Rockies where going to a serious beat on! Oh yea speaking of that they did sweep you all this year.

bingo, giving washed up Clemens $16 million for less than a year's work is ludicrous,

They better not talk to A-ROd if he opts out, $25 million is more than enough for the best player in baseball. The yanks could get 3 young good pitchers for that price.
