Even though it's kind of ironic that a jolly whale was the Whaler's mascot, Pucky was awesome. I hate Carolina. :(

HEY!

I actually do wish Carolina would acknowledge the team's heritage. Throwbacks, all that. but they legally can't, because the city of Hartford owns it all. so if you think Carolina is snubbing the history, we can't use brass Bonanza (I wish they would though), the uniforms....

don't hate the team because you couldn't fill the stadium. I know it's gotta suck to lose a team, but do you really have to hate them for it?

YES! But I have a Whalers shirt that I wear at least once a week, and it has Pucky on it. I live in California right now, and nobody has a clue what it is, ha ha.

Also, I dream about Fudgie the Whale (from Carvel) regularly who, in my private theory, was modelled after Pucky.

I miss pucky!

I understand the Karmanos decision to move the team (Carolina makes money) but I never understood why they didn't buy the licenses to the name, colours, etc when they bought the team. That was a stranger deal than the current Nashville deal.
