I want to be surprised, I would like to know when I have the baby. Actually I do not even want the doctors to tell me. I want my hiusband to do that. I think it would be more personal that way....

With my first, I didn't know. With my second we found out be accident a week before we had him. He wasn't moving for about 8 hours and the doc ordered an ultrasound, the tech let it slip that it was a boy. With this baby, I knew what she was before anyone told me. I didn't want to find out, but my husband did. I told him that she was a girl from the point of finding out that I was pregnant, and that there was no reason to ask. He did anyways and sure enough a girl. I think that finding out does make things easier especially for everyone that wants to buy you things for the baby. THere are so many other things to be suprised about with birth that knowing a head of time, gives you something that you can prepair for.

Definately before so that I can be more prepared for my new bundle of joy-for example buy clothing, accesories and furniture for girl or boy, design nursery in pink&purple for girl or blue&mint green for boy, etc. But of course nothing is 100% and even with a ultrasound the sex can still be mistaken. My sister had 3 ultrasounds done while pregnant-each one the tech declared the sex to be female. 4 months later to everyones surprise she gave birth to a beautiful baby boy :-) She "thought" she was prepared down to choosing the baby's name, christening dress, hair bows and painting the room pink with a princess theme :-(

I am pregnant. I did find out. It's my third - I want to be as prepared as possible.
I found out with the second as well, but not the first.
I can tell you from experience that knowing the sex in advance does not lessen the excitement when your baby is born.

I found out before and I'm glad I did. It made it easier to by things and to choose a name. When I have my next one I want to find out before too. I had a beautiful baby girl three weeks ago and her name (Kyla) was chosen when I was 5 months pregnant.

Personally, I LOVE the surprise! with our first 2 we waited but with our 3rd we found out. I only gave in to my husband since i knew this would be our last baby. There are so few great surprises like this in life!

I've had to know in advance with all of mine. There's still enough of a surprise waiting at the birth for me! :)

DEFINITELY!!!! :) It was so nice to be able to plan the nursery specific to my little guy - rather than generic colors/themes. I really like to be organized and to plan ahead and knowing that he was a boy was great. I wouldn't do it any other way!
