8+4m=9m-7
4m = 9m -7 + (-8)
4m + (-9m) = -7 -8
-5m = -15
m = -15/ (-5)
m = 3

CHECK:
8+4m=9m-7
8 +4(3) = 9(3) -7
8 +12 = 27 -7
20 = 20

put the m's and the numbers on the other side so you have:
9m-4m=5m
8+7=15
so 5m=15
divide both sides by 5
m=3
