The surge is working. I was in Iraq three years ago. I know what kind of impact more soldiers has on our enemies.

Why don't you explain to us exactly what that 70% represents? I seriously doubt that any of the cons throwing it around understand it because they are incapable at looking at the war in Iraq beyond a superficial level. The figure is insignificant unless political progress is made as well. So far the Iraqi government hasn't achieved any of the political bench marks laid out when the surge began which was the stated reason for sending the extra troops in the first place.

Surge working. The terrorists are having trouble recruiting new people to kill themselves. They are dying at the rate of 16 to 1 and regardless of what others who only go by what the LIEberal news media say, that's great odds.

Violence is down in Baghdad, but sadly it's up in the south east and the north. I think it's too early to tell whether this is a trend.
