I'd probably say they have no life if they're calling someone 50 times and say nothing...everyday of their poor miserable lonely depressing endless pointless life.

*67 = call trace
or find out your phone companies (special number) to put a trace on the line right after the person calls, dial that number, they give you. It might cost you around $2.00 every time you use it. and then file a police report, so ( you might get a chance at getting the number that been calling you 50 times a day )

Report it to your phone provider.
ps - telephone marketing companies use automated systems, and so a pause before their system 'cuts in' is normal... and annoying! If you do not wait for an answer, the source will keep trying your number until it gets an answer - often once every couple of days anyway!

contact your local phone company, explain the situation to them and ask them to "LOG all calls for a 1 week period", INCOMING...
They used to do this at no charge. But can / will identify, AND log all incoming calls.
Make copies of the papers,.....
With the information, you can contact the local police or sherrifs office, and they will show the information to the person that the number is assigned to..... and surely it will stop.
If it does not stop, issue a 'restraining order' against the person, or people involved.

Call the sherrif's department, file a complaint then they will obtain a court order to put a trap on your phone line and you will be required to write down the time and date of each call. When they discover who it is, charges will be pressed against this person for harassment: a misdeameanor! This is serious!

You need to call the police. They CAN trace an unlisted number! What the caller is doing is a crime. Everybody is allowed to hang up on somebody once. This is rude, but not a crime. Doing it repeatedly, however is what changes it from being rude and hanging up to being a nuisance/threat.

Me? Google caller ID to find a way to find out the phone number of the person harrassing me, then I'd either keep calling THEM back, OR I'd just block their telephone number.
