Neo Nazi Republicans are Racists.
They only place tokens in subordinate positions.
That's why Condi and Colin are not allowed to run on their ticket.

There are many reasons. First and foremost is time. We have to remember, particularly younger folks such as myself, that true equal rights under the law are barely 50 years old. While stereotypes are alive and well, prejudice is slowly going away generation by generation, yet it is still a long process. So, point being, blacks have only in the last 30 or so years been working thier way into the higher levels of government. Being elected president in most cases requires a lifetime of public life. There are very few blacks who have been in the system long enough to reach a level of recognition and power to be able to mount a serious run. Obama is an aberration in that his rise has been very swift. He has I think however miscalculated and entered to early against what appears to be an overwhelming opponent. While I am a republican, I personally like the guy and hope his probably loss this election doesnt hurt his chances to run down the road. Also, most blacks who are or have been qualified seem to be to smart to run. Take Colin Powell. The man is amazing. Deeply insightful, intelligent, inspirational. I think he could have been one of america's top 10 presidents in history had he run, but he didnt. He;s too good a man to get into all that.
It will happen. Louisanna just elected a 2nd generation Indian governer. That says something.
Keep in mind how time works. My grandfather was racist. My father, who was brought up in that enviornment, often said racist sounding things out of habit and upbringing, but he always treated everyone respectfully and was friends with several black men. Myself, I was always aware of racism, though never really understood where it came from. My kids? They dont even realize that the black friends they have are "Black" so to speak. I honestly dont think they even realize yet that it is supposed to be some sort of issue. So, there is hope coming, we just all have to make sure we try and keep our lingering prejudices away from our children.

Nazi republicans...what (D)ishonest hypocrisy.
More Blacks have held higher positions with the Bush administration than the (D)isreputable corrupt Clinton (the first black pres), or any other (D)emocrat administration.
More of the republicans voted for equal rights than democrats. Democrats are the real racists in this country.
Rice would be great, she's honest and competent, unlike Jackson, Sharpton, Rangel or Obama.

Those blacks who have tried for the position simply haven't appealed to a broad enough spectrum of voters. Most were single issue candidates and focused solely on civil rights. Single issue candidates, regardless of the issue, will never win the presidency. Ralph Nader is another example. He has run for president several times and failed. He is also know as a single issue candidiate.

Several different reasons but the number one reason s because there hasn't been a black person that was smart enough nor one that wasn't racist. That said, it's also the reason there isn't going to be one this time either.
