A US Senator should not place any other countries interest above the United States, that is treason. But to claim that someone is committing treason because they are Jewish, or Chinese or Black or whatever, is just shameful. We did that in the 40's when we interned Japanese and some German people during WWII, it is a black eye in our history.
Does anyone know if we interned Italians during WWII???

"I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter."
Each Senator and Congress-person recites the above before assuming office. Since the Constitution protects the interest of the US and it's people......not the interests of foreigners and foreign countries, any Senator promoting China over the US would be guilty of treason. There are a few currently sitting who come to mind...............

George W. Bush has placed China's interests above ours. China and the middle east kingdoms are where the Bush family makes their money before and after office.
Do you think it's just a coincidence that when Bush 41 was Ambassador to China that Bush 43 would choose that country as his lone overseas visit before becoming Governor of Texas? Why was 43's uncle Prescott Chairman of the America-China Chamber of Commerce for years? Why does 41 pick up six figure honorariums every time he's willing to speak to Chinese communist energy officials?
Get your head out of your a$s.

Not anti Chinese but Anti U S Senate and the guy who introduced it should be shot... China right now has almost taken all of our cement and today because its so scarce we are paying double... The reason this Senator is doing this is because collusion and is probably getting a kick back.. Americans should not stand for tactics like this...

Any member of congress, or any citizen whatsoever, for that matter, who placed another nations interests above our own nations interest would be guilty of treason. This is an offense punishable by death.

No it makes that person pro-US. Why would anyone want to take money from a foreign power to be used in an election? It should be illegal it smells of someone buying favor. . If the foreign power wants to contribute to a general fund to be divided equally, that would be fine.

No, that would make you a patriot. We elect our officials to act in the best interest of our country. China's leaders should act in the best interest of their country, etc. When and if they have to work together, it should be the best possible outcome for both countries.

Why would we need our Senators to protect China's interests? I have no doubt that China is able to do that on their own. That is quite condescending to China's ability to manage their own interests.
