Why don't Seattle, Portland, Hartford, Winnipeg, Cleveland, Quebec and Salt Lake City have NHL teams? Tell me they don't like hockey there..

Milwaukee already has the Admirals, and the UW is a big ticket, too. They love hockey there--the 1980 U.S. Olympic Hockey Team had players from only four states, and WI was one of them, so that should tell you something.

The only market capable of supporting an NHL team is Milwaukee, and the television and radio zones overlap with Chicago, meaning Milwaukee would have to compensate Chicago..........and that is not a cheap endeavour.

It's kind of odd now that you mention it. The market is bigger in Carolina but not Milwaukee for an NHL franchise? I guarantee it would sell better than Atlanta or Florida ever could. Now we just need a catchy name and we're in business.

Because Chicago would want one too!
For real, it's because of many factors. The NHL doesn't want to expand into Madison or Milwaukee because Minnesota, Detroit and Chicago would oppose it.

because wisconsin probably cant afford to have a team but cali can thats why they have so many teams.

they have an AHL team--the Milwaukee Admirals
