I bought the bundle pack 22' flat screen hp with the tower and all, it came with both a VGA cable and a DVI, but the problem is that i can connect my VGA from monitor to tower, buy i want to use my DVI instead and my tower doesnt have anywhere to connect it to, my monitor has it but my tower only has for VGA. do i have to buy and adapter or something?

You can bot use an adapter to connect a DVI-D cable to a VGA connector.
You can use one to connect a DVI-A cable to a VGA connector, but what is the point?
If you want to get a digital connection then you need to get a graphics adapter with a DVI connector on it.
The majority of adapters have DVI now, and most of those come with dual output support so you can spread your desktop across multiple monitors.

Why buy an adapter and waste money because you will still end up with the same analog VGA display you have with the VGA cable. Its the video card that makes it DVI not the cable and if you want digital buy a DVI video card.

Yes, you can buy an adapter, but unless you have a video card that is set up for DVI, there will be no improvement in quality,

VGA - Video Graphics Advanced
ofcourse DVI is newer but just using the cable is pointless, there are several affordable video cards out there that can be installed onto your computer that use DVI

you may be able to buy an adapter but your best bet is to just buy a new graphics card because they have both DSUB and DVI connectors.
The new DVI is meant for hd quality graphics so better with games.
