You can check the history if they're not smart enough to clear it! There are also programs available that enable you to watch where they're at or where they've been. Some even email you information so you can keep an eye on them from another computer or location. I use Cybersitter.

Particularly if you have concerns about what they're viewing, don't allow the computer to be in a closed off area and pop in now and again and ask what they're doing. My kids are 13 & 17 and are used to that being how things work at our house.
The way I see it is this: My computer, my internet bill, my kids = my rules!

Easiest way to check the internet explorer browser history if you are running IE7 is click the little star in the top left and click on history. Although I feel guilty telling you that, when I was a kid parents didn't know how to turn on a comp let alone find out the filth I was on haha.

You can check the history but kids know how to clear it. Go to
1. tools
2. internet options
3. look for an option that says Temporary internet files (different locations depending on your operating system.. I have vista)
4. view files
You can then see exactly what they have been viewing and the exact dates and times.
This is how i caught my husband!!

the easiest way is to check their browsing history by clicking the star in the top-left hand corner and click the history tab if you have Internet Explorer 7.If your kids are smart they will delete browsing and form history. What you do is type in a website they don't know you have typed in.For example heaventruth.com.When they get off the computer, check the browsing history. If the heaventruth.com website isn't in the browsing history, you'll know they've deleted their browsing history.Hope this helps. Also if you do find bad websites on there, don't be harsh on them.Kids are curious. So it would be normal if you did find bad websites.Just talk to them about what they're doing.

If they haven't figured out themselves there is a history button on your browser. Not knowing which one you use, here's a link to find out how to check it.
http://library.norwoodschool.org/Help_FAQs/IE/IE_history.htm
Hope that helps.. If really concerned, load up a parental program to block access.
My son is required to give me all usernames and passwords for the sites he goes to (myspace, gaming) and also his email. Although I don't check it often, he knows I do look at his accounts every once in a while. I trust him but I'm not an idiot. He respects that I want him to be safe.
Lastly, it doesn't hurt to sit down with your kids and watch the preditor shows about guys propositioning children. It opened my son's eyes to the sickos that are out there.

just click on the little "arrow"...to the right of your browswer, ..all the websites will show for the last several days, or however you have your computer set up. If you're worried about it, go into your control pannel and set it so that the kids CANNOT open or visit ANY websites you dont want them to. They would need the password, ...thats your best bet. You can set the entire thing up according to their age....and thats it,.....anything they try and access will be denied according to YOUR settings.

You should first know what application you are using for Internet.
If internet explorer 7 then look for the orange star on the upper left hand corner. click on that then click on "history which is next to "feeds"
If its internet explorer 6 (i forgot where they keep the history there)
Other applications (I'm too lazy to tell you but a good pointer would be to look in the help files for "history")
Good Luck
