Pour some baking soda followed by vinegar. You can also use clorox.

You've first got to clean the drain.......yuck! Get all the hair and gunk out. My septic man said once a week pour a tea kettle of hot water down the shower, tub and sink drains. That worked for a long time. Now that we are on sewer, I find I need to pour bleach down the shower drain once every few weeks. I've even tried Kaboom toilet cleaner as it is mostly hydrogen peroxide, not the nasty caustic cleaners usually used for toilet bowls. You pour a cap full down the shower and watch it foam up...and up. I don't know if it really works, but it's fun to play with.

Use Softscrub once a week to clean the shower drain. I also spray bleach into the drain every now and then.
