Basically I sell bridal dresses and lingerie although I am male. I am a cross dresser so I guess you could say if people saw me dressed that way they could make assumptions about me. But are you assumed to be something, even if you are not, just because of the type of work you do? Do people selling womens shoes necessarily turn out to be cross dressers, or are gay because you have a friend who is gay? Where do these incorrect assumptions come from? I guess I don't mind if people know I cross dress, but I'd rather they not think I was gay or bi. Does it really matter?!

it doesnt matter at all if that is what you want to do... Its your life and it is too short to work in a job you dont want to do. it is easy to see how some people can assume you might be gay but the people who are genuinly nice and your REAL friends will get to know you regardless of what you are wearing and will realise that are not gay. And anyone else can mind their own business. Just be yourself. x

I think all cross-dressers would love to work in the feminine industry if they had a chance, I'd love to work in the women's department of any store. I don't think it really matters what people think & why worry about them if they assume the wrong things, if it's a guy, they probably just wish they had your job or just want to dress-up like a girl.

The latest trend is to "double cross Dress" That is to say that you get up in the morning and dress as a woman, but before you leave the house you dress like a guy. Now when you get home from a long day at the dress shop.... you change from Dude clothes and dress in something more comfortable like a thong, well that cant be more comfortable but what ever. Hope that helps.

Personally, it does not matter. There are a lot of guys who sell women shoes and clothing and they are not gay or bi. They are straight guys who would love to meet different kinds of women in their profession and thus they work in that field. Has nothing to do with their sexuality.
There are women out there who are architects and they are not gay. They just like to.
Now, as for you being a cross dresser, there are many straight men out there who loves women but they love to wear female clothing because it makes them feel good. And there is nothing wrong with that either.

I dont get it? you say assumption, but you ARE across dresser? thier assumption, would be right? Therefore your attracted to work in a bridal ware shop. Chances are every other gay or cross dresser will be too?......so where's the assumption? its common sense, and your just being a drama queen...and only confirming stereotype!

Well hun you might not be the "typical" lingerie saleman but I certainly wouldent judge you. Nothing wrong with doing what you enjoy because I mean your not hurting anyone else. I smoke cigarettes and people judge me all the time. It's so unfair.
