Usually a condemnation notice states how long you can stay. If it was condemned due to health hazards, it is usually 24 hours, but if it is condemned because of eminent domain, you usually have 30 days.

Not long. I recently had one unit of mine condemned (unfit for human habitation....the dipwit upstairs had a plumbing leak left unreported and the dipwit downstairs didn't report water coming in thru her bathroom ceiling). Due to the water damage, the lower bath ceiling simply collapsed. City health came in and condemned the unit. The tenant had 24 hours to vacate. Thankfully, we had a vacant unit ready right across the hall, and put her THERE.
