Has anyone in north carolina been approved for social security disability benefits by appeals council?

I am in the appeals council stage of getting approved for disability, how long did it take for you to get a response from them for approval or disapproval?

I have a relative who works in appeals. There is a big backlog of cases, with all the applicants (many illegals and baby boomers). Some take months.
