the Americans often used a guerrilla or Indian type warfare whereas in Europe the opposing armies lined up opposite each other and marched one toward the other firing their muskets and cutting with sabers until one side broke and ran. it was bloody and many men were lost the British tried the same tactics in America and lost. see attached link to general Braddocks defeat in the f and i war.http://www.publicbookshelf.com/public_html/The_Great_Republic_By_the_Master_Historians_Vol_I/generalbr_ei.html

Actually NO! Germany was the larger country in both World Wars, with the greatest military numbers. They were also the aggressors in both Wars, so they had the advantage. What is often forgotten is that the British Empire was a Global Superpower because of the Royal Navy and the Merchant Navy, not because of its Army. The British Army was spread throughout the Empire to police it, and relied on the Navies to provide initial firepower and supplies. This could not be achieved in Europe, especially as the largest European Army was considered to be France, both in 1914 AND 1939. As for the "unlimited materials" from America, you speak in jest surely? In WW I America did not want to sell aid to Britain as that could affect its Neutral and Isolationist Stance in the War. In WW II it was the same. Yes, America DID eventually sell (please note the word) aid to Britain, but at a cost. They would only sell what they thought Britain could actually pay for. (A pity that their Banks did not think the same way a few years ago). That left Britain with a huge debt that it only finished paying for in 2006. ( I believe the final payment was $89 million). At the same time, America was putting the same sort of money into the rebuilding of Germany and Japan. Who actually won then?

In America, there was a lot more open territory and there were Native Americans who had totally different military tactics from the Europeans. Most of Europe at that time still fought in nice straight lines out in the open. We learned to hide behind trees and set up ambushes.

I've sometimes wondered if the Revolutionary war wasn't just an extension of the ongoing Protestant/Catholic wars going on in Europe. At the very least, they left England weak and vulnerable to revolt in the colonies. See "The Madness of King George" for more about this.

that not really true.
because the french did help us in the revolution war.but that was only one county that help us.

even if half of Europe hate us because a might have been in the war with them or they hate us for having freedom in are county. doesn't mean that all the county in Europe have to hate us.
like the war in Iraq the Germany's, British are helping us in the Iraq war. because they saw us dieing in that war and said "that we should help them win the Iraq war" so they charge in and started fighting for are side.
we are fighting still but we are wining , beacuase we got help from the countrys that are in Europe.

It was a guerrilla war. The Americans were the terrorists against an occupying force.

There was no germ warfare back then, nor were there nuclear weapons. People had to travel on foot, by boat or on horseback to get where they were going.

The Revolutionary War is quite an interesting topic, you should really do a search on it...you will pick up a lot of truly interesting information...and get yourself an A+ paper.
