Other than the cigarette smoke billowing out of the local casinos, the air quality today is just fine. Fortunately for LV, the smoke clouds have been blowing off coast.

The air in Las Vegas is a good as it can be for a city this size. The California fires are not affecting it in any way. The winds are blowing towards the west so the smoke from the fires are being blown out over the Pacific Ocean. Now if you were asking about Honolulu, it might be a different story.

Las Vegas is upwind from So. Cal. The Santa Ana winds are generated when a low pressure system is over the Nevada/Utah area and the CCW rotation of the low causes the hot dry winds to blow into the LA basin

I can look out my driveway and see the fires in the mountains and theres a huge cloud above it. i just happened to drive to Vegas this morning (I live 170 miles from Vegas) I took a friend to the airport there, because theres no freeway access to LAX from the fires, and the sky there is beautiful. They have no fire air quality issue in vegas.
