officials in england are trying to get a cull on 80% of all badgers as they believe that the badgers spread TB to cattle. why dont we cull all the people that eat beef and drink milk then there will be no need for cows and the badgers can stay?

for all you half wits who think that i am serious in suggesting that we cull some humans, my question is merely a reflection of my feelings towards this issue and to highlight the fact that we as humans need to dig a little deeper to find the root causes of some problems i.e. if we didnt feel the need to eat meat or drink a cows milk then we wouldnt find badgers causing (or not causing) this kind of problem ! GET IT?

Culling can help breeds to survive in the same way as a forest fire can be the start of a regeneration process. I do not think you or I would wish to volunteer to be the first to be culled. Recent history (60 years ago) should suggest to you that the culling of humans is not considered to be a good thing

Being a vegetarian I don't eat meat, obviously. I can well do without milk as would a lot of other people if they saw the filthy, dirty farms that produce it. Living in a rural area I can assure you that this is true. A lot of bovine TB is not down to the badger population, but down to bad husbandry on farms. The Ministry of Agriculture, as it was, proved this many years ago, but of course that report is now being ignored as it may not be politically correct.

That relies upon very a lot on who "we" are. additionally on the tactic of execution. The Norwegians have a lot adventure in this area and in line with danger "we" could call in some clubbing experts, form a working team, do a feasibility learn, value a central authority record, introduce a private participants bill, draw up a commons action, positioned the clubbing out to comfortable and so on. and so on. via the time all this has been finished then the human race will in all probability be extinct saving the taxpayer thousands and thousands.

At first, I would have agreed with you. But then I got to the anti meat-eaters bit.
So why don't we cull vegetarians? Same logic. How about anyone else we don't like? Midgets? Red-haired people?
I know you weren't entirely serious, but you inadvertently raised a serious point.

You first. Thanks for volunteering! I guess you haven't noticed that there's an actual difference among humans, and cows, and the lowly badger. I suppose it never occurs to people like you that culling herds can be for their own good. Now, go have some Tofu as your last meal.
