my depreciation expense is a credit of $2, when making my income statement, do i put it as a negative in parenthesis and subtract it from the other expenses or do i just leave it as a 2 and add it to my other expenses??

If your depreciation expense is a credit, you need to check your additions and posting. Depreciation expense is always a debit unless you're writing back an over-provision made previously. Accumulated depn is always a credit. However, to answer your question assuming you've not made a mistake, you'd deduct it from the other expenses and if your expenses don't come with parenthesis, your credit in depn should be in parenthesis to show it's the opposite of an expense. But I still think you should check your work.
