MEI Academy is an awesome company that offers all kinds of courses overseas. I've been on one of their courses (to France) and they are amazing. I had the time of my life, and I learned a lot. I have alot of friends that have been with MEI and they feel the same way. You have to really check out the different companies. Some of them are cheaper, but I think that you get what you pay for.

There are many programs out there. Check out CSIET approved programs. Are you talking HS or college credit? If college, go first to your college and find out where it has programs, as getting credit is a lot easier if you go through your own school. Getting credit for your study abroad can be difficult. But if you don't really care about the credit, then there are so many programs out there it will blow your mind. There are eco programs, foreign language study programs, volunteer work, etc. Most universities have summer abroad programs you can join even though you're a student elsewhere. PLAN ahead, it's hard to make this work at the last minute.
