Hi Richard. My real name is Steve and I live in the Chicago area in a burb called Naperville, 3rd largest city in the state of insanity called Illinois. Grew up in Chicago about a half a mile east of the infamous Cook County jail.

Now I am 49, divorced, no kids and have 2 great dogs.

Why am I here? For fun and laughs plus to see if I can help out anyone with my own dose of (hopefully) common sense. Once in a while I will have a serious question I may need help with, but mostly I am curious at how other people think and act.

Nope, your questions don't sound mean, you just sound curious, buddy.

However, I am very sorry to hear you are from Kansas, are you going to be OK, or does medication help? LOL

Re: Ms T Blue a/k/a Claire wants to pick our brains. Guess we should count our blessings that she does not want to pick our noses, eh? lol

Whoa, Cheta K looks very pretty with her smile. Yow.

Hi there... I'm Moon. I'm 23. I came from a place with a 24-hour difference than where you guys live. So you do the math. I have a BA in English Lit, i just started on my MA in the same field, and not many people from where i live is able to appreciate poetry, so i was originally here merely for the sake of Q&As at the Poetry section...where i can both contribute and learn from. However, i started to be so hooked up with Y!A as a whole when i kinda give up on men, on real life. It's been my favourite pastime since then. I enjoy reading smart answers from people with common sense all across the globe...I feel good when i give great answers for people who doesn't really know what they are doing with their homework, assignments and lovelife. I also love answering your funny and cunning questions here! Haha...I just need a break from seeing people in real life. I just need to be alone for a while...and being here keeps my brain active. And no...it's not mean...it's very thoughtful ;-)

Hello! my profile says my name....I'm my mama's first daughter and oldest of 3, Southern California native; born and raised, college educated graduate Bachelor's in Arts, lover of reading many different genres and laughing at comedy films. I've travelled international (Canada, England), travelled a little bit in the U.S. too(Oregon, Washington, Illinois, Indiana, Northern California, Nevada, Arizona, New Jersey).
Dog owner, faithful believer in God and Heaven, caring and considerate to little kids, old people and stray pets. I am part of a postcard trading club and faithful letter writer to a dozen penpals/email friends.
I love yahoo answers because I enjoy seeing other people's questions and when I think I can help I reply.
I think replying to these questions is a bit more interactive than posting on a topics board and then waiting for a response.

I'm Michelle. I'm from the northeast in the U.S. I'm here for something to do to help pass the time. I like answering questions or trying to. It makes me think and articulate my thoughts. If I can help others in the process then that's great.
No. Why would it? I think it's a generally a good thing to be curious. I wish my stepkids were more curious but they are young.

I am Debi, I am from Wisconsin and I have no idea why I am here. I was trying to figure that one out.

Nice to meet you, Richard.
Have a good day.
