With all the perversion, suicide, and other social problems that seem to be getting worse in Japan. Is it time for Japanese people to wake up before society degrades itself anymore?

It has nothing to do with China! I would like to see more positive family values in Japanese society before it's too late. Kids are having sex like no tomorrow and STDs are spreading rapidly. The birthrate is declining while men would rather pursue empty fantasies with bar maids. People starve to death because they are scared of shaming society by taking Welfare, etc...

Please don't compare Japan yo other countries, I know it's worse elsewhere. My concern is for the morals of the Japanese people.

Those things you lined up are nothing new, but all are from Edo era (300 years ago). Shunga art, red-light districts, and Seppuku, etc, they are Japan's culture. There are pros and cons, however, those so called "town-speople's culture çºäººæå" haven served Japanese life as the driving force for Japan. Current Japan haven't changed since that time ever.
You also should check the data of STDs for the countries in the world. You say it is spreading, however, the data will show you other big countries , such as China and US, are more serious, I should say some nations are tragically serious.
People starve to death? Where did you heard such thing? Come on, check starving rate. Even homelesses in Japan are not starving. They are eating delicious hamburgers, KFC (they are perfect shape) placed cleanly outside of the restaurants, and prepared meals by volunteers. Real poverty is more serious in everywhere in the world.
Problem is nationwide crimes by foreigners. There are more than 5,000 foreign prisoners in Tokyo. This number is huge.
Your post is seen as watching Japan's surface only, or watching Japan with the POV from overseas.
Only the nation who want to control their citizens conceive such "Cultural revolution", like socialism countries and religious countries. But Japan is a free speech country.
In Japan, there are lots claiming window for their government and local administrative affairs. It is their business, but none of your. Anyway if you are not Japanese, leave them alone. They are enjoying their life.

A cultural revolution in Japan..... Heaven forbid such.
The western influence on the culture here is already too much - it should be removed. Back to normal Japanese culture - one of the few sane cultures in this world.
I come from Europe and I do NOT want to go back to the insane European culture ( and sorry to say but the American culture is worse).
I feel sorry that the Japanese are taking in so much from the Western cultures.

China should keep the Culture Revolution to itself. Japanese people would not be interested in doing the same.
Chairman Mao killed his political opponents, any one who dares to speak up, and Chinese people who were not blue collar workers. In the process, million of Chinese were perished either through the tortures of the Red Guards or starvation.
Since then, Chinese only believe in money. They lost their culture and virtues. They would do anything for money which provides for their survival.
Japanese society has its problems. Let us take care of ourselves. You keep the Cultural Revolution to yourself.

LOL. You've got to be joking. Japan's paradise compared to most societies around the world.
Perhaps you're in one of the dips of the culture shock wave system.
What's wrong with perversion?
You've never thought of killing yourself?
You don't have social problems?
Japan has its problems, but so do other places. No worries.

Is it really so bad in Japan?! I don't really see the connection between suicide and some guy who wants to look up girl's skirts or whatever. Suicide is caused by inadequate mental health care-when it comes to folk's sexuality we can't all be plain vanilla missionary position types. According to the Japanese, their society is always going to hell in a handbasket-but they always seem to get by somehow.

I would rather see the revolution in the US. Who are you anyway? Some christian troll? Japan is fine. Go home and take care of your own business.

Cultural revolution sounds like dangerous communist or dictator way of thinking for me. I think we can solve or ease those problems in other way(or word).
