I'm not saying ol' Bill was perfect, but I really don't get why everytime Bush does something wrong....you get a whole mess of conservatives whose only defense is something Bill Clinton did....
They are two seperate people afterall...not to mention that Billy hasn't been president for almost a decade now...
By that warped logic, NOBODY should ever be held accountable for ANY wrongdoing because chances are SOMEONE else did it too...

Let me just add....I really could care less about Bill Clinton... I don't think one way or the other about him...
So take it from my perspective: I ask a question about something Bush did...and some uber con responds with something Bill did.. How does that answer my question ?
I just don't see the logic here. Am I supposed to be offended at criticism of Clinton ?...he hasn't been president for a long time now, and I can't say I ever really "supported" him anyway...
If you could see it from my perspective, you would see that it is the most illogical and moronic defense ever.
If I kill two people, I can't blame OJ can I ??

That's just a way of deflecting criticism and not having to honestly answer a question. Unfortunately our media/reporters never take any of these politicians to task and just let them get away w/ roundabout answers.
At the end of the day, when Clinton left office the economy was in a surplus, the U.S. outlook was prosperous, and the U.S. had a good international image.

Without a specific instance to talk about, I'm not sure where your question leads us. When I have heard Bush and Clinton in the same sentence, it was discussing the difference in media treatment. Bush is fairly steadily derided in most print and broadcast media, while Clinton was held in awe. I can't speak for cable/dish because I cancelled my subscription to pay real bills.
I'm curious what you think President Bush did wrong that has been compared with Clinton. I am personally irritated by his inability to consider reality when it comes to money and illegal immigration and foreign treaties, but the conservatives I've listened to are also irritated by those.
Clinton wasn't a big problem for me, but a lot of things that Bush has dealt with might have been different if Clinton had behaved differently in office. Honestly, I think the Monica thing threw him so far off his game that he missed out on the chance to solve a lot of problems.
Oh well. He was what he was, and Bush is what he is. Let's all hope the next guy has an easier time.

They blame Clinton's intern scandal to deflect the real issues with Bush. They cannot come up with a logical reason on the numerous failures of the Bush administration. Sure, Clinton had an affair. Did it kill people? No. Did it put our country on the verge of recession? No. Did our peaceful foreign countries back away from us? No. They cannot explain the pathological lies of Bush or the destruction he has caused. So, blame someone else. It is a never ending story.

And why do people act as if George W Bush is running for President in '08? Every bash and every rant is about how bad Bush is.
Hillary Clinton is running for President in '08. And if after 30 some odd years you believe they come separate I have property in Arkansas for you.
Each candidate must stand on their foundations. This includes home and family. Especially a woman who has endured living with years of adultery. AND chooses to accept it.
If people do not understand, have knowledge of or refuse to accept history ... we are doomed the repeat and regret it. As public figures they accept the consequences. As did the Bush twins as rowdy kids and numerous others.
Retire, make millions speaking, go away. As President Bill Clinton put forth a bill extending Presidential terms. He was denied yet now we have the wife. It's all fair game in politics.
Thank you.

Its an automatic on/off conservative application of logic.
Perhaps though you haven't listened carefully enough, the Bush babies have been out in full force saying 9/11 was all Clintons fault, as was the, recession almost a year after he left.
Bush has yet to take responsibility for anything at all, hes going to throw this whole mess hes left on the next president no matter which party wins.
Logic need not apply here, only partisanship.

I blame Bill Clinton because he was warned about Al quada, he was even warned about 9-11 in 1996. Did nothing about it. Clinton was a weakling and a joke as a president. Clinton had a Domestic spying program that was far ahead of anything Bush did, why did he have it. He was looking for the "vast right wing conspiracy", Silly Bush he was looking for people trying to kill innocent Americans. And it cracks me up to hear Liberals try and excuse Clinton for the mess Bush got handed.

Because Slick Willie either caused all by himself or made worse several of the problems Bush gets slammed for on a Daily basis.
1 Take the war on terror.
During the Reagan years terrorist the world over learned to keep their heads down or he would blow it off for them. Then comes Bush Sr. Same mentality and only small terrorist problems mostly confined against Israel.
Now comes Slick Willie and he's running around hi fiven everybody about how great him and the beast are going to make socialist America that everybody out there starts killing our people because there was no payback. The only time Cliton ever fired a bomb or tomahawk at any body was AFTER the Monica story broke and only then when you would see some of Monica or company on the front page Slick would authorize some bombing just to knock them off the front page.
So less than 1 year after he's gone OBL nails us on our own soil the 2nd time.
2
North Korea
Slick Willie sent a lush named Madeline Albright to negotiate with Kim Ill Jung and they sat around on several occasions swilling down his liquor and god only knows what else then she comes back and declares peace in our time because as long as we will supply him with technology he promised not to work on upgrading his own capabilities or use anything we sent to make nuclear weapons.
Kim ill Jung has lied to us every time we have had any dealings with him at all.
If you know some one and they lie to you how many times does it take before you learn not to trust them.
Now that little bastard has nukes made with some of our technology and he is also exporting it to Syria.
3
Slick Willie and the Chinese
Yeah he started trading with them. Do you know what they got Technology so there would be a level playing field. The same military tech we use and or based ours on.
And people wonder why the Chinese give so much money to the Clitons.
And those are but 3 of the real reasons most conservative answers you see on here blame Slick Willie or the Hildebeast or both for our current problems.
As far as the BJ other than lying before congress if his wife doesn’t care I sure as hell don't.
To verify what I'm saying just hit the links below it could take a while but then it would be wort it if you could understand the great divide in your own country, wouldn't it?

It's because they know they're wrong. It's like when you're arguing with someone and they know they're wrong, they'll resort to ripping on your mom or other non-related issues because that's all they have.
Republicans think like children so don't ever expect them to provide quality answers to tough questions. They will either give you an answer to a different question or get defensive and start screaming about liberals, just like a child would respond. It's sad but that's the reality of the Republican party.

It is really simple....
Because there is absolutely no defense for the policies and practices of the Bush administration.....There is no defense for an administration that has wasted the lives of more than 3200 of our soldiers. There is no defense for an administration that claims to be about small government but has grown the size of the government and the federal budget to literally their largest points in the history of the union. Not to mention that there is no defense for a government that claims to be about small government and has taken some of the largest unilateral power grabs from the people in the history of the union......If they could defend them substantively, they would......
But since they have no defense.......They want to deflect......and talk about something else....
Sad really....

Its funny isn't it. I guess its got to do with one's point of view.
Japanese soldiers used to call out , :Babe Ruth Go To Hell" to Americans. Republicans must think comments about Clinton are uspetting to liberals and Democrats. - when what they REALLY want to do is call attention away from
criticism of the very many shortcomings of their Boy King jr.
We have gone long past the point where most people realize the emperor has no clothes - but there is always clinton !
as a red herring.
