Give some good reasoning. Because I really don't see how any band can "save lives".

They don't "save lives," they help kids cope with difficult and/or confusing situations in their lives.

The lyrics and the music appeal to teenagers.. as well as some adults.. that's all that can be said.

Their lyrics get a message across (even if it may be a hidden one) and make certain kids realize that suicide isn't the right way to go, which resulted in "MCR saved my life."

But now "teenie" MCR fans just throw the phrase "LYKE OMFGZ GUYS! HAHA THEY SAVED MY LYFE!! MCR ROX!! BEST BAND EVAAA!" around to look cool. It's quite annoying to be honest, which is probably why you feel the way you do.

In my opinion, they're not the best band in the world but they are good.

AND I COULDN'T PUT IT BETTER MYSELF

but i can say that music saved my life, but not mcr in particular.

MCR is not only a story of success among the band members, at least in Gerard Way's case {Gerard lived with his mother in a lifestyle similar to that lived by his fans now until he was about 30 years old until he became inspired to do something in the world instead of draw the cartoon, the Breakfast Monkey, so he quit his job and worked at the Clifton Barnes & Nobles with his brother Mikey until he started MCR} but it's lyrics are very inspiration which, until the Black Parade, told the story of two lovers who stayed with and protected one another despite all of their obstacles and died for each other when the time came. It's simply inspirational because it shows that their is a purpose behind life no matter how dreary you believe it to be and if something is truly worth dying for, you'll know in your heart and not in your head.

considered one of my contacts advised a narrative while MCR saved her and that i purely believed ('til now regardless of the undeniable fact that) in it. i think of it ought to ensue, while to procure no longer something to stay for, after which you stumble on out that MCR is the only one that knows you, and supplies spirit to maintain on residing. yet i agree too with the respond above that asserts that it relatively is by way of fact of many followers say "MCR save my stay", then some people say so, so they seem to be they're real followers. yet i do no longer think of each and every person is like that. I propose, there ought to be some memories that are real approximately MCR saving their lives. i won't be able to say that they save my life regardless of the undeniable fact that, cuz i've got not ever tried to kill myself. i'm depressed and all MCR do helps me to get interior the direction of the day.

how do they "save lives?" that's a tricky question. for some people they won't, or can't. for other people, they make all the difference.

mcr, like many other bands, really try their best to pour their heart and sould into their music and lyrics. they also try and keep a close relationship with their fans. it's not so much just the music as it is that relationship and the music together. a lot of fans, my friends and myself included, feel that there's a my chemical romance song we can listen to when we're feeling down, or angry, or bitter that can help us realize that we're not exclusively feeling like that, that other people have felt like that--and look where those other people are? famous with record deals and tons of fans and *helping people.*

also, My Chemical Romance has a street team called the "MCRmy." the MCRmy has a group within itself called "The Medics." those people are their so fans and other MCRmy members have people they can talk to about their problems, anonymously.

Only good bands have saved my soul. On the other hand, MCR has done nothing for me except copying Queens guitar solos. They are influencing on how to be depressed, not saving your life. I mean, how can you save someones life always crying about the little things in life? Most kids are impressionable and will go with the flow and just agree with whats out there.

Some of their obsessed fans think mcr's music is great, so they like to say "if it wasn't for mcr, my life would be down the drain."
i really don't see how it's possible for them to actually save a life because i know most of their fans don't even know them, so they should rephrase that and say "their music has changed my life" not that mcr personally saved their life because we all know they didn't.

It's almost like a marketing gimmick: "MCR- They'll Save Your Life"...sponsored by Avis! Avis- We try Harder!"

I bet they are Very happy riding this '$aving lives" thing for all they can milk it for.

well... maybe some people who like bad bands like MCR find their music 'life saving' as in, they can relate to it and it makes them feel better. its just 'relatable' (personally i dont find MCR and other crap bands like that relatable...but...)
