Is this the most embarassing thing or WHAT?
so i am a junior in high school and today we had field day...and we played tug of war. my team decided that we would let go in the middle after a guy yells 1,2,3 so that the other team would fall. the guy yelled it, and i didn't hear him so i held onto the rope when everyone else released it and the other team pulled on it. so i fell and slid all on the floor! it was soooooooo embarassing! everyone was like aww it's okay, good job! and all this stuff but inside they're probably thinking about how much of a loser i am. and it's gonna be so awkward to see them all tomorrow. ahhhh, i wanna switch schools!!

As long as you appear confident on the outside, it doesn't matter what you actually feel on the inside. I learned this very well. When I was in junior high, I was in P.E. when we were having a track and field day and I chose to do the hurdles, well I tripped over the very first one (even though I had practiced...I just got nervous) and all the cute boys laughed at me. Needless to say I was completely embarrassed. I got over, it was an accident. If people laugh at you, just tell them, "Yeah, it was an accident and I WAS embarrassed, but I don't care because that was yesterday." Don't let others make you feel embarrassed longer than you feel like it. It may not seem true, but you are the one in control of how you feel. So just keep your chin up, find your inner confidence (even if you don't have it, just fake it, no one will know), and move on. Let other people be stuck in the past because you won't allow yourself to be held back by that. Trust me, I faked being confident all through junior high and highschool and I survived just fine. Don't let people hold you back! You are a person with feelings and you are going to shine because you will let go of those insecurities!

I used to feel like that when I was school.
I was embarrassed by everything.
Trust me when I say that as you get older, you'll look back and wonder why everything was such a big deal and why every move you made was so embarrassing.
People have short memories...they're already on to the next embarrassing moment!
Just laugh it off...the more attention you bring to it, the more people know it bothers you...the more they'll make fun.
Let it go! You're fine!

BREATHE!!!!!

They have probably all forgot about it by now! Something that seems so huge to you is nothing to other people. If someone does bring it up tomorrow then force a smile and something like "I wanted to win" or "I meant to do that" and they will laugh right along with you and then it will be OVER!!! and you can move on...

... try not to worry about things too much. The more time you spend worrying the less time you spend living!just go and have fun and if someone laughs at you, laugh right back at them.

No Way! That is a hilarious story that you'll be able to talk about 20 years from now.One minute of awkwardness and embarassment is worth a lifetime of funny memories. That can be the first funny story in the book you write later.

Yes, laugh at yourself. No one is going to think you're a loser. Just take a deep breath, relax. You'll realize someday, once you've seen something like that happen to someone else - you won't think that person is a loser -- you may feel sorry for them momentarily - but then you'll realize it's just someTHING funny that happened. Don't lose any sleep over this. Smile !

I think you are being way too hard on yourself. You might be guilty of taking yourself too seriously. People will forget this because it's not that important. It's over and done. Who cares.
I laugh at myself all the time. It's easy. Just try not to take yourself too seriously and know that you are human. Find the humor. It exists. You have to slow down and that's hard for me. I'm always in a rush. I live in the northeast. I'm in good company.

I dont believe they're thinking you are a loser.
I REALLY DONT KNOW what other people think unless they tell me. I gave up "MINDREADING' a few years ago. I was wrong most of the time. ;-) When I did give up mindreading for my own peace of mind, I found myself laughing a lot. You can too.!!
Also, I learned that the world does not revolve around ME.

You tell people things like "Hey, I really LIKE that rope! I wanted it to make a tree swing!" or "Don't you like to do something different once in awhile?"
How about "My life was getting dull -- I wanted some variety"

I know a kid who does this and he cracks everyone up.

If people tease you, agree with them! Laughing at yourself is one of the best feelings in the world.
