There used to be a method of access called WebTV, but I don't know if it's still around.
But why would you NOT want a computer? Yeah, it's a pain to learn how to use it well, but once you've got that, it opens up a whole new world. You might as well ask for a vehicle to get around, but not want an engine on it.

Well, first you need an internet connection unless you borrow someone else's or use wi-fi hotspots.
But why don't you want a computer? That's got me puzzled.
you could use a mobile phone or a Blackberry but really you should be looking at some kind of computer. A brand new budget notebook (small laptop) costs as little as £200 so it's not a big investment. Or you could buy a desktop with more power and performance for the same price.
Basically you DO need a computer if you want to use the internet for anything more than emailing. If you are worried about security then read any of the tutorials on how to stay safe on the internet and buy a good security suite like Kaspersky or AVG.
edit* Internet TV = Evil. Don't touch it.

Who says you don't need a computer?
That's like saying 'I just want to call my friend, I don't need a phone'.
Get a cheap second hand one from a person who has many.

i am assuming you will use internet connection for gaming? If so, you will still need a modem to connect your gaming device. Unfortunately, you will still need a pc to configure your modem, and to solve connectivity issues every now and then.
