I am a minor, and last year through school, I donated blood. Now, of course I had to fill out papers with personal information, such as my phone number. Ever since the 3 month mark in which I am able to donate again, this company has been calling me at least 4-5 times a day asking to make an appointment and to donate, sometimes even from an "Unavaliable" number, so I can't screen their calls. They even call me during hours which I am in school, because I am a MINOR.
I have told them that when I have permission from my parents to donate again (because I am a MINOR and It is illegal for me to do it without their permission and their accompanient to the facility) that I will contact THEM and make an appointment.
This has not stopped the calls.

Nono, I gave blood through my High School last year with permission from my parents. But I need their permission every time I go.
I live in IL.

Oh, I am completely serious about the 4-5 times a day. Its every single weekday too.
They have called 4 times already today.
I have asked them to stop multiple times.

A minor is someone under 18.
I am 17.

The fact that you are a MINOR changes nothing. You provided them your telephone number and have a business relationship with them. I don't completely believe the "at least 4-5 times a day" part, however it is immaterial.
If you want them to stop calling you need to ask them to stop in writing.
It would be a far stretch to show violation of the law pasted above. The phone calls are not obscene, they are not intended to harass, the person receiving the calls is not under 13 etc.
If the notice is in writing there is no way you can prove there was a notice.

the law varies from state to state, what state are you in?
Yes it is illegal, it is in violation of (720 ILCS 135/1-1) (from Ch. 134, par. 16.4-1)
So this is what i would do, if they call again warn them not to call again, and if they call again you file a police report.
TELEPHONE HARASSMENT
91st General Assembly
Public Acts
(720 ILCS 135/1-1) (from Ch. 134, par. 16.4-1)
Sec. 1-1. Harassment by telephone). Harassment by

following purposes:

an intent to offend; or
(2) Making a telephone call, whether or not conversation
ensues, with intent to abuse, threaten or harass any person
at the called number; or
(3) Making or causing the telephone of another
repeatedly to ring, with intent to harass any person at the
called number; or
(4) Making repeated telephone calls, during which
conversation ensues, solely to harass any person at the
called number; or
(4.1) Making a telephone call or knowingly inducing a
person to make a telephone call for the purpose of harassing
another person who is under 13 years of age, regardless of
whether the person under 13 years of age consents to the
harassment, if the defendant is at least 16 years of age at
the time of the commission of the offense; or
(5) Knowingly permitting any telephone under one's
control to be used for any of the purposes mentioned herein.
Every telephone directory published for distribution to
members of the general public shall contain a notice setting
forth a summary of the provisions of this Section. Such
notice shall be printed in type which is no smaller than any

cooperate with law enforcement agencies in using their

this Act.

HOPE THIS HELPS!

how did they let you give blood if you were a minor? yes it was illegal! Tell your parents immediately. This was a bad judgement call on your part, so they need to fix it for you.

It's not illegal to harass people by phone( unfortunately), but it is immoral. Report them to any and all government departments that are reponsible, and if necessary to your local media.
