Yes, I have, but a part of me wanted to turn back and shout, scream and beg. I wanted to say that my heart was breaking, that I was devastated and alone. However, in the end I kept on walking, barely managing to take the next step...

I do that a lot because of my health problems. Once, I was about 10 miles into a 30-mile drive when I realized that I simply couldn't do it; better a 20-mile roundtrip than 60, wouldn't you say?

This happens with projects too often. I delved into snail mailing after being unable to for years then had a flareup; now, it's been a year in which I've communicated with only a few people. I didn't want to do a "turn back"; my body had other plans.

Yes in a situation that I have been dealing with in my own life for the past three years about another person hehe I have really come to terms with it and have looked at the situation for what it is :))))It can take a while and sometimes we feel like going back every so often but then we go back to the darkenss and sadness what i have learned is that I matter and thats it I do not care about the person or the situation hehehe I am more important and my life is GREAT why because I have learned that I have come so far and I Love me and thats more important then anything your own self-worth and being :))))

Yes, this is a problem that often plagues me because sometimes new situations trigger Panic Attacks for me. Knowledge is indeed power, so after much research, therapy, meeting people like me, and trial and error I have learned to face the fear and not 'turn back'. I'm not perfect, though so once in a while, I only 'make it so far...'.

Thanks for the question, sometimes I learn from my own answer and when I do, it is a true gift.

...yes, but I have not looked back ...as I child I remember the story of Lot's wife
(in Genesis) who turned to a Pillar of Salt when she turned to look back at Sodom and Gomorrah (her home)as it was being destroyed by God...
...this may seem like a silly analogy, but I learned a lesson from it and if I absolutely have to move on...then I won't look back...

I think it's human nature to strive for things & once we have them we yearn for the things we left behind.

It reminds me of High School... you can't wait to leave it & once you leave it you wish you could go back.
