Some people have hated abercrombie because of their racist t-shirt a couple years ago. "Two Wongs make a White" I believe is what the t-shirt said. Meaning that two chinese people make a white person.
Some others have hated the stores because of the fact that they make their sizes very small, therefore saying that the store is only for skinny people.
Also, almost all the models you see at the store pictures and advertisments are skinny, white models.
And one last reason people hate abercrombie and hollister is that their prices are fairly high. And their clothes could be of a better quality.
Personally I love abercrombie and hollister. Hope that wasn't to much info! :]

My number one complaint with all those stores is that they do not cater to people who are larger than a size 10. I am a 12 - 14 depending on the brand. I never have found anything there that would fit me. They are also mostly geared toward the very straight/tall type. Not hourglass shapes. So it gets very depressing to go into a store and not be able to find ANYTHING. I also that think that for the price, the quality is not that great. You can get similar stuff at places like Target and Old Navy for a lot less.
And I also think that these places are far to revealing for me, a women in my early 30s. Their skirts are too short, and t-shirts too cropped and really just frankly very young looking. So I just really don't bother.

I love abercrombie and hollister their my favorite clothing lines well besides Banana Republic. People just say that pick on you because their jealous they don't got on what you got. People don't want to admit it but they wish they we're you some times. The people that don't pick on you feel that everyone has their own style and some, like us, just like to flout it. If you pop their collar you gotta be confident and know you look good. Who cares what the little people in your life say cause they'd be shopping with ya if they could.

I have a few Abercrombie and Hollister T-shirts from a few years ago. I bought them because they are very soft.
I think that people have problems with the whole blue eyed blonde size zero image thing.
I think it was really wrong when they put thong underwear in their childrens store a few years ago, thankfully they pulled them from the shelves very quickly.
If you like their clothing shop there. Who cares what others think.

They are people who don't like the expensive chain stores or the people who shop there, just like there are people who look down Wal-Mart and the people who shop there. It's a social class thing, IMHO.

The only thing I can think of is that it is overpriced generic tendy clothing. You will spend a ton of money on it but it will be out of style next month. I can see why parents hate it.

probably because they are stupid and think the stores they shop at are better ...
just because they are ''cheap'' and think you are wasting your money.
- i like to think.. if you like it .. buy it.
it doesn't matter what other people think .. they are probably jealous of people that have better fashion sense ... and have more money to spend on clothes then they do
