Definitely, although the £200 does help, the constant rising prices of domestic fuel is far outstripping the resources of people on a fixed, and not very large, income.
The benefits payed to our EU "cousins" and other financial immigrants who decide to come and live here are depleting the social pot for the needy nationals who have contributed to the coffers all their working lives.

Yes the cold weather payments should be raised as fuel prices are soaring and the fat cats are getting fatter at the expence of every hard working person, the government don't give a jot!!!!

This government is sufficiently cynical to cut all pensions in the hope that pensioners will die and save the NHS and pensions a lot of money. Shock horror? Put nothing nasty out of the reach of our beloved, prudent and caring government

No....I thought the Govt was worried about global warming which is why petrol keeps going up and up....perhaps they should cut the winter payments as they presume things are going to get warmer not colder.
