There was a place about a block from the Jr high,High school called "The Dutch Maid" very popular with the kids, after school, we would sometimes go for a chocolate cupcake with soft vanilla ice cream on it. Couldn't do it every day as that would soon show on the waistline. So we would just get a coke, anything to make it ok to sit in a booth while all the socialization was happening. The old place no longer exists, I can see in my minds eye just what the couple who owned it looked like! The kids in that town now do not have a chance to have the great experiences we had!

The yellowish colored vanilla, there is a name for it but I cant think of it, with IBC rootbeer.
