Well I am an American and have only LIVED in America so I cant question how other countries live but am I wrong for questioning what I see everyday?!? ....

Having traveled, I agree we are. I think our priorities have been mixed-up for many reasons. 'Owning things' does not bring happiness. It is what we do with what we have.

I am definitely not materialistic, I am happier with the simple things in life, I don't have fancy jewelry, I don't have any fancy cars or furniture!! The most important things to me are my mementos from my family, friends and pictures that can not be replaced because she has passed on!! The world can keep the rest!!

America is the land of abundance and we are bombarded every day by the media with new gadgets and technology. we are programed by society at a young age that having this stuff is a way to keep score. quote;"he who has the most toys wins"it's really not very logical but that's the way it is.
